IDEAL MAKE-UP TIPS: GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR EYE PRIMER & EYESHADOW

We’ve all heard the buzz about make-up primer and how it will be a good investment for our make-up bags but what does it actually do? Despite the eyelid skin being noticeably thinner compared to facial skin, eyelids still produce oil which can cause eye make-up to slide around and end up in the crease. Using primer before eyeshadow application not only provides the perfect even base for eye make-up; it also helps even out any discolouration and smooths the appearance of fine lines on the eyelids too.

A good quality eye primer will blend smoothly onto the eyelids, dry invisibly, intensify the colour pigment of the eyeshadow and prolong the wear of your eye make-up.  Collection & Celebrity Make-up Artist Francesca Neill tells us more and shares her top tips on eyeshadow application and how to achieve the ultimate smokey eye look in this short video
