It’s hot, sweaty and even more smelly than usual. To make your commute a little less horrible and a little more bearable, we’ve teamed up with Odaban to give you 10 top tips on ways to make your commute more bearable this summer!

One

Wear natural fabrics that breath easily such as linen, cotton etc. to avoid unnecessary sweating and avoid synthetics as they trap heat

Four

Avoid spicy foods as they can make you sweat more and exacerbate odour

Wear thin layers so you can easily remove them as and when needed

Six

Drink chrysanthemum tea, Practitioners say chrysanthemum is a cooling herb which clears the head

Seven

Avoid caffeine and alcohol these can make you sweat more

Eight

The night before you go out for the day in the sun, roll some damp flannels up and pop them in the freezer. Take them with you in a plastic bag. Then, when you start to feel hot, unwrap them and place them over your face.

Nine

Always carry around a bottle of water with you, it’s important to stay hydrated in the heat especially on the tube.
