IDEAL TIPS ON GROWING OUT A FRINGE

Adding a fringe to your hairstyle is a quick and easy way to alleviate hair boredom. A straight heavy blunt fringe has been a key trend over the past few seasons and although still in trend, you need to think about how you are going to get rid of your fringe once the trend it over.  Growing out a fringe will take several months and can be a very annoying.  Thankfully, there are a few steps you can take to ensure that the transition from fringed to fringe-less goes as smoothly as possible. Hair Stylist Mark Hill reveals all.

GET IT TRIMMED

The first thing you must do when you have decided to grow out your fringe is to have it trimmed!  Sounds strange I know, but it is easier to grow out if it fits in with your regular style.  Because all hair grows at slightly different speeds, it’s important you can handle your style as it grows.  Keeping your fringe in shape is just as important when you are growing it out as it was when you first wanted it.

INVEST IN STYLING PRODUCTS

The next thing to do is invest in some styling products.  A mousse or a volume spray are just two of the many hair products you can buy which will give your fringe excellent hold without making it too sticky or dry.  As your fringe grows, you’ll find you need to use more accessories – clips, headbands and grips will all become invaluable tools when it comes to keeping your hair out of your eyes.

KEEP IT UNDER CONTROL

As your fringe grows, it’s simply a matter of playing with your hair and figuring out what works best for you.  Sweeping your fringe to a side is a popular option as all it takes it a bit of mousse and a good blow dry to keep it in place.  Use a pretty hair clip, braid it across your hairline or simply sweep your fringe back underneath a headband are other great ways of keeping it under control as it grows.

As the weeks pass and your fringe grows, you’ll find more and more styling options opening up.  You will be able to wear your fringe straight, add some soft waves, or blow dry your fringe with the rest of your hair with lots of body and volume.  Just remember to always get it trimmed to keep up with the rest of your style.
