Of course, sports players want to wear a kit that’s flexible, breathable and comfortable. But do they give enough consideration to the colours that they’re wearing? Through looking at previous tournaments, it’s clear to see that colour does play an important part in sports performance and could even be related to a win!

Existing colour psychology says that bold red encourages confidence in the wearer, and yellow can lead to higher energy levels. Does this apply to sports? Quite possibly, in football.  50% of UK Premier League winners wore red, and four out of Brazil’s five wins were wearing yellow.
